What A Season !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wow what can we say, we have had a fantasic season with 4 of our 6 sides gaining promotion, one WFR World Pennant and the first ever WFR World Shield. Exeter Wyverns really showed total class this season with a collection of stats any club would be very proud of including conference 3 title WFR World Pennant holders, WFR Player of the year award went to Jonny Wilkinson,who also took the awards for : Most conversions, Most points scored, and if thats not enough he also claimed the WFR Iron Man award. 6 players in the top 10 for top form award, 6 out of top 10 for Iron Man award - Phew !!!!. New side Porthmadog Minatours taking the newly created conference 4 title was another fantasic result for us and to be honest alittle unexpected but very welcome with their sister new club Rome Praetorians being very unlucky and just missing out on promotion aswell finishing a mere 2 points behind 3rd place. We also should not forget both Bristol Phoenix and Waterford Brewers who made the semi and final of the WFR Pennant respectivley only losing to other SWERCA teams which holted their progression. And last but not least Brittany Orcs had their first season in conference 1 and held their own very well indeed and never looked less than comfortable in their new higher conference.

SWERCA founder Daniel Owen-Rijnenberg a farming tycoon from Somerset first became involved with rugby playing for his local side Morganians R.F.C. as hooker until a nasty knee injury ended his playing days in 2009.

Or so I thought..........

And then one day I was lucky enough to be seen by a fantastic knee surgeon in Exeter who repaired my knee and has given me another chance to play rugby again.......
